The majority of pipe bands today have chosen to compliment their jackets with waistcoats. This gives the option of playing in a waistcoat only which can prove to be an advantage on a warm day.

Measuring advice:
- Chest: measure around the chest at under-arm height, while wearing a shirt or t-shirt, with your arms by your side.
- Waist: measure around the waist at naval height, regardless of whether these are to go with a kilt or trousers (we need to know the widest part to help shape the waistcoat).
